We're excited to announce Robert's 2023/24 season, which will see him lead the Basque National Orchestra to its Salzburg Festival debut, make his Zurich Opera debut, his La Fenice opera debut, and there will be welcome returns to regular collaborators including Dresdner Philharmonie, SWR Sinfonieorchester Stuttgart, NDR Hannover, Gürzenich Orchester Köln and Orchestre National du Capitole de Toulouse! Robert's first recording with the Orchestra Sinfonica Nazionale della Rai, of which he is Principal Guest Conductor, is a bold and vivid account of the masterly evocations of Rome by the great Italian composer Ottorino Respighi. Out on Ondine Records, from Sept. 1st!

Robert Treviño's third album for Ondine is his second with the Basque National Orchestra, and follows their highly successful Ravel album. This release finds the Texan-born, Mexican-American conductor back on home turf, with a traversal of four remarkable yet little-known works by great American composers – including the world premiere recording of Howard Hanson's Before The Dawn (1920).

The fast-rising American conductor follows his successful Beethoven symphonies cycle for Ondine with a distinctly Basque perspective of Ravel.
Treviño begins his relationship with leading classical label Ondine, with his previously-announced complete Beethoven cycle, alongside the Malmo Symphony Orchestra. Recorded in super audio sound during the 2019 Beethoven Festival at the Malmo Live concert hall.

The fast-rising American conductor will be recorded by the multi-award-winning independent classical label, across both his orchestras; first releases to include Beethoven symphonies cycle, and little-known American works.
Trevino will begin his role as Principal Conductor Designate in the fall of 2018, assuming the position in 19/20 for an initial contract of 2 years.
Robert Trevino returned to the London Philharmonic Orchestra for a sold-out performance of Mahler’s 5th Symphony - following his hugely successful recent performance in Zurich of the same work. London reviews were enthusiastic ("Trevino's account was memorably original...moments of despairing anguish were hair-raisingly agitated amid desolate woodwind cries...Trevino moulded the drama into perfect proportion" - Bachtrack), and his performance was marked by a long interview in the Daily Telegraph.

Robert Trevino's "Majestic Mahler" was acclaimed in a late-hour jump-in in Zurich. This marks Trevino's return to Mahler's 5th Symphony which launched his career in Europe. Read more here and here.
This immediately followed Robert's debut with the Gewandhausorchester in Schumann's 2nd Symphony, a work originally premiered by the orchestra under the baton of Felix Mendelssohn.
